Dear beloved in Christ.

Have you started your 2005 with praise? Did you bless the Lord on the midnight or day when 2004 cried “bye” and the 2005 smiled “hello?” Can you still remember your prayer and your song? I hope so and it is my prayer that you will always longed to bless the Lord  like Psalmist David when he said, “O God, you are my God, earnestly I seek you; my soul thirst for you, my body longs for you, in a dry and weary land where there is no water. I have seen you in the sanctuary and beheld your power and your glory. Because your love is better than life, my lips will glorify you. I will praise you as long as I live, and in you name I will lift up my hands” (Psalms 63:1-4, NIV).

All the time God is good and faithful in blessing us with innumerable riches yet only seldom that we come to Him and bless His holy Name. Make it your ambition to live a good and holy life, to bless the Lord and to be useful in the work of the Lord that the plan of God may be accomplished to us and through us. Remember the words of the Lord to Paul and to us also who believed, “Now get up and stand on your feet. I have appeared to you to appoint you as a servant and as a witness of what you have seen of me and what I will show you. . . I am sending you to them to open their eyes and turn them from darkness to light and from the power of Satan to God, so that they may receive forgiveness of sins and a place among those who are sanctified by faith in me” Acts 26: 16-18, NIV).

Prayer Points:

* Pray for our training program here. We are working well with our field works but not with our training. It is very hard for us to get this off the ground. Pray also for the support of this training school. What we have now is just an informal training, like correspondence courses and seminars. We would like to have a formal Bible School.

* Pray for us as we are tying to start a sister organization. We would like to have a “Things to Come Mission, South Africa” that is active and working, something that we can call our own, our office, our home.

* Pray for our safety. South Africa’s crime rate is really getting high. Pray also as we are traveling long distance almost every week for seminars and Bible Studies.

* Pray also for the Andersons and their health. They are such a wonderful people to work with.

* Pray for the new contact churches. Three churches from Evangelical Reformed Church with 4 pastors, 1 pastor from Charismatic church and some new members are now going to join with us. They are all under indoctrination now.

* Pray also for the Grace Berean Church in Soweto and Manyebethwane, Mpumalanga as they are going to start building their churches. They need more prayers and financial supports.

“There is a race that I must run, there is a victory to be won, give me power every hour to be true…” What a wonderful song performed by the team when we had an 8-day evangelistic crusade at Taung Municipality last December 24-January 2.

We had a good time preaching and teaching every night, visiting new

contacts during the day and singing. Many people called those dates “‘times of relaxation”. For us those were “times of consolation.” It is always our hearts’ desire, our joy to teach and preach the Word of God knowing that these are the reasons why we are here in South Africa. We were able to win pastors and new members into the Grace message. Now, we have ongoing seminars and trainings for our contacts there. And by God’s Grace, we would like to plant a church here in that location. Help us to

pray!

“Please come here and help us.”

Sounds like a Macedonian call, isn’t it? But it’s not. It’s a “Carletonian” phone call from pastors who just resigned from Evangelical Reformed Church, Pastors Lucas and Kenneth Sewela. I met Pastor Kenneth in my small Bible Study in Hammanskraal and then I started visiting and preaching in his church. While learning about the Grace Message, Pastor Kenneth also shared the things that he has learned to his father. His father founded 5 Evangelical Reformed Churches in Nelspruit Town and 2 in Gauteng Province. Four of these churches resigned with him when he decided to resign from the ERC mission/organization.

Last January 14-16, we were able to visit two of these churches in Nelspruit. They welcomed us like angels. They were so hungry for love, freedom, the truth and fellowship as they never experienced these in their organization before because of this “black and white” thing.

Pastor Simon Khoza, a pastor of a big church is a very wonderful man of God. He was very happy to hear the Grace message and even my presence there was an encouragement. He has about three hundred sitting capacity church but just about two hundred members. Another pastor, James, just started a work in his place about 30 minutes drive from this big church. He has 25 members now.  Please pray that these churches and people will continue to learn the Grace message and get stronger as they serve the Lord Day by day.
