Gomer and Nene Indino Prayerletter
January 2002
Dear Friends & Supporters,
Happy New Year! We are back in
Brazil. We had a nice trip from the
states to Brazil even with the tough experience of passing all the airport
inspectors. They inspected all of our check-in luggage piece by piece. While doing this, they emptied all our suit
cases. We spent almost two days packing
our suitcases, trying to get everything in.
Then they spent about half an hour inspecting them and they could not
put everything back in. They squeezed
everything, even the fragile things, but still could not fit into our
suitcases. So they finally just put the
extra in a box. We passed through several x-rays and personal inspection--even
Gomer's shoes had to be taken off to be personally inspected. Everything passed. We had a lot of bags since we were allowed
70 lbs. each.
We received a warm welcome from our co-missionaries and church members when we arrived in the Recife airport. For the first ten days after arriving here in Recife, we stayed with the Molinas in their apartment until we found an apartment for $250.00 a month.
We were very sorry that we had to cancel some meetings that were scheduled in December in the U.S. Our visa extension was not renewed so we had to leave.
THE
LORD IS WORTHY TO BE PRAISED! I
will praise the Lord with my whole heart, in the assembly of the upright, and
in the congregation. The works of the Lord are great, sought out of all of them
that have pleasure therein. His work is honourable and glorious: and His
righteousness endureth forever. He hath
made His wonderful works to be remembered. The Lord is gracious and full of
compassion. He hath given meat unto
them that fear him, he will ever be mindful of his covenant-Psalms111:1-5.
1. Praise the Lord Gomer was able to get his driver’s license in Michigan, with the Molina’s help.
2. Praise Him for His guidance when were travelling around the different states in the U.S visiting churches and friends. We also visited the rescue mission, nursing home and public schools to minister. We shared the gospel of the grace of God, gave testimonies, prayed and provided special music.
3. We Thank the Lord for your hospitality of feeding us nice, delicious food and a place for us to stay.
4. Above all, we praise the Lord for your continued support through your prayers and financial gifts. We are thankful for the opportunity to encourage more prayer partners to join us in praying for the ministry throughout the whole world and to encourage more committed and dedicated men and women to be a part of the ministry in spreading the gospel of the grace of God. We are always praying that God will use us effectively in the ministry.
We have some prayer requests. Please join us in praying for the following:
1. Plans and goals this year for the churches, outreach ministries, Bible Institute and workers that are helping in the ministry.
2. Literature needs and lessons for children's ministry.
3. Our daily relationship as husband and wife and relationship to God that will strengthen and grow through his written Word and prayer.
4. Church building project in Dois Carneiros. Raising more or less $300.00/month for financial help for those that are working in Dois Carneiros and Monteverde.
Again thanks for your prayers and love in helping us and
the ministry here in Brazil,
In God's Grace,
