Ben as he begins to implement his vision and goals for TCM.

This past
Sunday we had a wonderful time of prayer and fellowship with our church
planting team at our new building. This coming Sunday we will meet again and I
will be sharing with them some basic principles regarding Godīs
plan for the local church and what "kind" of church I hope ours will
be. We will also finalize our plans for the inaugural activities we have
planned.
We decided
to postpone the VBS for our winter vacation (July). This year, Carnaval will fall in the beginning of February. Carnaval is a big (and bad) thing here, so many
schools antecipated the begining
of the school year, because the week of Carnaval is
lost.
Our open
door is confirmed for January, 29th and 30th. This not common here in Brazil,
so we donīt know what to expect, but we are praying
the Lord will bring some people to our church.
Tomorrow I
will meet a man who runs a direct mail business. I would like to send 10000
brochures to people in our neighborhood. Right now we only have funds available
to mail 1500. Please pray that some people will come to visit us as the result
of this mailing. If 1% respond we will have 15 people
coming.
Please,
pray for our little daughter Gabrielle. As you all know, Jule has a serious eye desease. This
desease is hereditary, so Gabi
would have a 50% chance to have it. This Friday, she will be going through
testes to determine if she has the same desease. We
are praying she "inherited" my eyes, but we trust in the Lord for
doing what it is best.

Greetings in His precious Name. We are back from our
week of tent evangelism in a place where there is no water, electricity ,
telephone or email. We had lots of African music and two preachers each nite. We are praying that many will understand the
Word which was taught and will receive salvation. The tent was full each nite with people standing on the outside. We lowered
one side of the tent.
Please
continue to pray for the work here. We have face
one obstacle after another.

We
had a very wonderful trip to Kimberly. Actually, the specific name of the
location is Taung. It's a town about an hour
drive from Kimberly. We drove there with three cars. One combie with all the tents, chairs, sound boxes and musical
instruments, we had one pick-up car also carrying all other small stuffs and
then my car. It was about 7 hours drive including refilling gas and eating. We
had some problems with the combie (Volkswagen van); the was gas licking, the lights were out, the fuse was
broken but we're able to fix them. Well, that's
Volkswagen van...!
Saturday,
we attended a funeral of one of the family members of Pastor Mabogola then afterwards we started visiting house to house
and handed out invitations for the crusade next week. We were able to preach
also and had short Bible studies. One of our goals during that visit was to
inform the people there about our plan to have evangelistic crusade and our
plan to start a church there.
On
the Sunday, we visited the Anglican church and had our
invitation handed out. Right after the church service, we drove to the African
Faith Mission church and attended their service also. We're given a chance to
share our testimonies and had time to sing. Even though, we told them that we
are going to start a church in that area, it seems that they are still very
supportive to the crusade there.
While
driving back to Johannesburg, we stopped at the Engen garage
to put some gas. I talked to the gas attendant and I have learned that he is
also a pastor. We shared about ministry and doctrine and it seems he is very
interested with the Grace message. I am planning to communicate to him through
books, literatures, and even writing to him every other week.
The
family members of Pastor Cris Mabogola
and brother William are the contact people there.
We need to pray for these people because they are not grace believers yet. The
families of Pastor Cris are members of a charismatic
church and the William's families are members of the Anglican church. They already heard about some of our doctrines, they
just need to grow more. After the crusade, we are going to make a rotation to
visit there for more follow up. Pastor Cris is
planning to work there full time. He is going to turn over the Soweto Church to either Mathobela
or William. There are huge opportunities for the ministry there.
Please
pray for God's wisdom. If Pastor Cris will move
to Taung, it will affect our leadership training
program. But in the other hand, it will open another work/church also.
Please pray for our leaders here. We really need an active coordinator to work
with us. Pray also for our coming crusade-December 24-January 2, we are going
to preach from one village after another.
Well,
I think it's time to rest.
The following request comes
from Val Anderson who teaches as a
missionary school in a Middle Eastern country.
If you'd like to join in a
Christmas giving project for the school, we could sure use a new photocopy
machine! We still have the same old codgers that have been around since
before I came 5 years ago, and they are getting more and more cantankerous by
the day. A new one costs 900 euros (about $1500) and we just don't have
the money. If you'd like to contribute you write a check to Things
to Come Mission, 2200 English Ave, Indianapolis, IN 46201
(mark it "Valerie--Photocopy Machine). They will send you a
tax-deductible receipt.

This report is from Jun Cadeliņa,
the youth director for the ministry in the Philippines.
The Gospel team now is in Negros Occidental, particularly in the city ofKabankalan
Churches. There are 27 of them. We are conducting two days per place where
our churches are. No showing in the
church but in their basketball courts, gymnasium or any neutral place which
normally used by the community symposia.
Pastor and Mrs, Max amlon
are there, my wife, Pastor Zabate, Pastor Pongase, Pastor
Sanchez and some Pastors in the Kabankalan area. As we observe church buildings there are
small and members are poor. Our Pastors
there are working in farms, mostly stony and some tricycle drivers to feed
their family. One Pastor usually handles
four churches. Their commitment cannot
be doubted. Pastor Edgar Balase, was the grace Pastor that was shot in the head from his
back. He was assigned in one of our
churches in Zamboanga del Sur, Baganian Peninsula. He was a graduate of the TCM Field Bible School. He was hospitalized here in Cagayan
de Oro, second week of October. He said, his livelihood is transporting passengers by
motorcycle. One time he was hired by a
man, when they reached
the unpopulated area by the sea, the man declared a hold-up/carnap, he was
immediately shot by a 38 caliber revolver in the head above the neck. He was thrown at the cleft and he landed on
the sand/seaside. At 3pm bath with his blood, he tried to shout
but no voice. He crawled little by little till he was noticed. Immediately he
was brough to Margosatubig
Hospital. But because of no Ultrasound
equipment he was brought by the ambulance from Margosatubig
to Cagayan de Oro City,
where he was met by our Pastors here and Pastor Boco,
hence it was an SM meeting here. He was
helped by my wife while I was in Maguindanao. The bullet lead cannot be taken unless he has
P40,000 for operation and will wait until it will go
out, for it is delicated least some nerves will be
cut. Sometimes Edgar cannot see, but when he rub his eyes
he can see again. They went home and
brought with them some medicines.
I will be back in Negros Occidental to join the Gospel team there on
Wednesday. Since 15
days per month I will take charge and the Field Director will also take charge
for 15 days. I will be the one to drive the jeep from the last accessible road
to the city, the next place. This will
be a trip that will continue till December.
I will be
speaking in Quezon, Palawan
Youth Conference December 22 to 26, then
on the 26th I will get the Plane for Iloilo City to Bacolod to speak during their Provincia
Grace youth Camp on December 26 to 30.
My wife will be with me on this trip. Please continue to pray for us, as
we pray for you.
