Dear Prayer Partner,

We have exciting news to share with you!

As you all know, we are involved in planting a new grace church in Recife. We have been meeting every Sunday morning for a few weeks now and have distributed about 1500 brochures in the community but so far the only people attending were our church planting team and friends we have personally invited.

However, this morning, I got a phone call from a lady who received our brochure. She asked for more information about our church and came to our service. I preached a message contrasting religion and the Gospel. She was very attentive and promised to return next Sunday. Her name is Iracy and she is about 60 years old. Please pray for this lady.

Also, as I was leaving church this morning, a lady came to talk to me. She is a nurse taking care of a lady who is recovering from depression. She asked us to pray for her and to visit her. As soon as she feels it appropriate I will do so.

I am excited with these new developments in our ministry.

We would like to thank all of you who have prayed for our friend day event. We had originally planned it for February 12th, but I had a very bad flu so we were forced to postpone it to the following Saturday. We had 47 people confirmed for the original date but some could not make on the 19th. However, in spite of this, there were 27 people present. We had a wonderful time of fellowship and are hoping that some of these people will return to our regular services.

We have posted some new pictures of our building and also pictures of our friend day event. If you would like to see them just go to: http://fotos.terra.com.br/album.cgi/urian

Please continue to pray for our church planting ministry. We are already working to prepare our next two major events: our English activity on April, 16th and our Easter Service on March, 27th.

I was involved in a car accident last Thursday. A motorcycle hit us sideways badly damaging both doors. I praise the Lord that neither Gabrielle nor I got hurt (Jule was not with us). Also, I am thankful the other person involved did not suffer any serious injury. I do have insurance but, I will have to pay a high deductible of almost $500.

In Christ,

Urian, Jule & Gabi
