Newsletter - June 2004

Dear Partners in the Lord,

The Andersons, Improsos and Maraats - January 2004

Greetings and blessings from my whole family to each one in Jesus’ name. The year 2003 ended with God’s wonderful blessings. Vernon, Darlene & Val Anderson came from Turkey to visit once again to Kenya. Vernon spoke at our annual general conference in Embu. Almost everyone who attended the conference was challenged to serve our Lord unswervingly.

Bible School Graduation - Nov. 2003 - Genesis was the guest speaker

Our church in Eldoret is now one year old and a half. The Lord has been so good and he blessed our efforts of personal evangelisms, home Bible studies, film showings and gospel tract distributions. Genesis and four other men are having activities every night except Thursdays. These four men are involved in either preaching or teaching in home Bible studies and evangelism. When we started, we only had 15 individual including children but now we are around 50 individuals who are regularly attending our Sunday Worship (around 30 adults and 20 children). Verna is ministering to women and children.

  • Pray for Kenya. The price of fuel is now at 3 $ and 40 cents per gallon. Prices of commodities are always increasing. Minimum wage is 3 $ a day. A loaf of bread of 800 grams is 70 cents.
  • Pray for Eldoret Church – the members are seriously thinking of getting a small land where we can build our church. We are praying to raise 10,000 dollars for the land and the building. Half an acre is around 7,000 dollars.
  • Pray for Andrea and Josiah’s tuition fees.

Beloved, thank you very much for your prayers and generous gifts. We do remember you in our prayers too!

With love from Eldoret, Kenya,

Genesis, Verna, Andrea and Josiah Maraat
