Serving the Lord

The Mahilums arrived in Phnom Phenn on June 13, 2006. This is the last stage of their missionary training course in the Philippines. At this time they expect to stay two months gaining experience and working with missionaries who are already in Cambodia. The Mahilums expect their ministry to be involved with Bible studies, church ministry, prayer and sharing the love of Christ. Pray especially that the Lord will speak show them what he wants them to do after Cambodia.

Dear Prayer Partners,

Shalom and Doxa!

We praise the Lord for the closure of the year 2006. We also praise Him for the things He has done for us and through us.

This month, The Lord has given us various opportunities of service. Ariel’s trip to Isabela was blessed indeed. The 50 plus delegates really enjoyed the fellowship and God’s word during the worker’s fellowship last November 30 to December 3, 2006. This was Ariel’s biggest assignment so far. We thank the Lord for the success of the said worker’s fellowship. Pastors Bermejo, Adrales, Blas and Maning Improso taught and preached also God’s word that surely rekindled the fire in service for the Master. We are also happy that National Director Jun Pielago had ample time for recovery from his illness. Let’s pray for him and his family. They were affected with the recent typhoon that struck Bicol.

RD corporation executives had a Christmas party last December 9, 2006. Ariel spoke about the WISEST MEN during the affair and was one of the judges during the fun fare together with the owner’s daughter and the wife of the Audit head.

The members of Dynasty Church gave gifts to the children and youth in our baby church in Andres Abellana. 25 bags of assorted goods were given to the children’s parents attending our classes and the youth’s parents too. Two parents attended our service in Dynasty that afternoon. Faith headed this project with other members. We praise the Lord for the volunteer children’s teacher and youth workers. Their labors are certainly not in vain. We praise the Lord for the positive response and the changes in the lives of the youth which was greatly appreciated by the neighborhood.

Ariel is teaching music to three kids in Carlock church. The three kids of Bro. Frank Sanchez enjoys the class. Ariel is teaching basic Keyboard and Guitar playing. The session will end this Friday.

We are saddened for the Bicol tragedy due to the past typhoon. We are appealing on their behalf for help both spiritual and financial because many of them have no more houses to go back to. Please pray for Pauline. She has a high fever. We are thankful that as of this time, her fever has subsided though not completely gone.

Let’s continue to pray for Anabel Maquiling and for his husband too. They are now staying at Carlock’s church while waiting for the schedule of surgery.
